ALES Alcohol Server Training Course for Washington State

Welcome! Before starting the Introduction, please be sure you are using an up-to-date web browser, such as Google Chrome.

You must complete the entire training course before taking the standardized exam. After you have completed all of the lessons you will be able to access the optional “Review Modules” page, which includes all of the lessons and forward buttons to skip through them. If at any point you need help, please do not hesitate to contact us using the “Help” link above.

Feel free to take breaks throughout the course, but the exam is the one section of the course that MUST be taken in one session. By enrolling in the course you agree to pass the exam without outside assistance. If you are logged out of the system during the exam due to inactivity, you will be required to retake the entire course–and pay the course fee again.

After you have passed the exam, you may download and print the “Student Handbook” to reinforce what you learned in the online course.

Privacy policy: For security and validation purposes we will save your contact information, the times you accessed the course, your completion of course lessons and successful passing of quizzes and the exam, and the IP number of the computer used to access the course. However, your information will be secured through SSL encryption and strong password protection. No confidential information will be provided to a third party other than the Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board.
